A turnkey investigative dinner for an evening full of twists and turns!

On this New Year's Eve, snow was falling softly on the plush home of the Courdeau family, known for their famous cookie factory in Alsace, selling over 50,000 tons of products a year. Dolorès Courdeau, matriarch and head of the family business for three generations, had brought her family together for Christmas, despite long-standing expectations that she would step down, especially after hip surgery five weeks earlier. The evening, though marked by the usual disputes, seemed harmonious until Dolores was discovered dead in her room.

The question remains: how did this Christmas party turn into a tragedy?

Culinario Mortale is a tabletop investigation game. Players embody characters who are witnesses and suspects in a crime. Among them is the culprit. The players must unmask the culprit, and the culprit must go undetected. All the players are given a booklet showing who they are and what they did before the crime.

All players are asked to remember what happened before the tragedy. The game is played in three rounds, corresponding to the three periods leading up to the murder.

The players discuss what they have seen and done. To do this, they refer to the booklet, which gives the chronology of events. Nobody can lie, except the murderer. At the end of the three rounds, a vote is taken to decide who is to blame.
