At the origins of Gotham City, several dynasties built this city: the Waynes, the Cobblepots, the Kanes, the Elliots, and the Gates. Today, Zachary Gate, heir to the Gate family, dons the mask of the bomb-thrower The Architect. Due to an ancient family rivalry, he harbors resentment towards the city and the descendants of the other families. He uses old blueprints of the metropolis to plant his bombs and fulfill his revenge. His suit grants him superhuman strength.

In terms of gameplay, The Architect is unaffected by gas damage thanks to his outfit. This provides him great resilience, allowing him to absorb hits. Capable of being highly effective in hand-to-hand combat, he also excels in manipulation actions, especially regarding explosives. Finally, wall destruction allows him to expand his area of action or open up new possibilities.

This character can be used as a replacement for the Villain in certain missions of the base box.
This character is playable in Versus mode (the Versus expansion is required to play this tactical showdown mode for 2 players).
His power allows him to cause remote explosions.
