In your turn, you look at the wooden beam at the end of the spiral - without touching or measuring it - then you identify the two cylinders on which you want to place this beam. You want to place the beam so that its ends are contained (not suspended) on the faces of these cylinders, and each cylinder can have a maximum of two beams resting on it. After having identified these cylinders, each other player has the possibility to steal your turn by identifying the cylinders of a higher level where this beam could be placed.
If you - or the rook thief - have correctly estimated the length of the beam and can make the connection, you then place one or more cylinders from your reserve on the playing area, with one cylinder on the newly placed beam and additional cylinders on the beams of the lower levels. The higher the beam is, the more cylinders you can place! If you can't place the beam, you put it back at the end of the line, and if you tried to steal someone's turn, they will give you the number of cylinders they would have placed.
The first one who places all his own cylinders wins.
