Develop your skills and create magnificent works of art in Artisans, a fast-paced card game.

Players try to develop their skills in the use of seven different materials: clay, metal, wood, stone, gold, glass and textiles, so that their level of expertise in these materials enables them to acquire the skills needed to make beautiful objets d'art.

Each player initially chooses one of the nine available artisan profiles. Each craftsman has a unique ability that helps define the players' strategy. In addition, each player randomly selects 6 material cards.

Finally, 4 art objects are drawn at random and become available for crafting. All material cards indicate the skill level (I -> IV) in each of their corners, and all art objects indicate the materials and skill level required for players to craft them.

A game of Artisans takes place over 12 rounds (the months of a year), during which players try to make art objects and win victory points. Each round is divided into two phases.

Collect as many victory points as possible before the end of the year by developing your ability to use different materials and create art objects.

During the first phase, players sequentially trade or collect material cards from a central market or make one of the available art objects.

The first phase ends when a player closes the market by claiming the first player token. All other players then have one last chance to visit the market.

In the second phase, players develop their skills by playing any number of cards of a material type of their choice. Each time they play the same material, they move up a level.

However, they cannot play more cards than they played in the previous level. Thanks to this clever mechanism, the number of cards played at each level is important, because at the end of the game, each material card earns a number of points equal to the level in question.

At the end of the 12 rounds, players tally up the points for crafted art objects, the points for material cards and any additional points their craftsman's profile may earn. The player with the most points is declared the winner!

Use the materials market to your advantage, claim the first player token at the right time to close the market, and intelligently manage your materials cards efficiently! The numerous combinations, great replayability, strategic decisions and stimulating competition will leave no one indifferent!
