Tactical Support Squads replace their bolters with more specialized weapons, allowing the Astartes Legion forces to deal with a wide range of enemies on their own terms. All Tactical Support Squad weapons have their role: the flamethrower is ideal for clearing bunkers, trenches and urban areas, the rapid-fire rotor cannon is ideal for decimating hordes of lightly protected opponents. The fuser is used for anti-tank combat, and the capricious plasma rifle can vaporize even elites in heavy armor. The enigmatic volkite weapons, both the volkite arquebus and the lighter volkite magazine, fry their targets with beams of thermal energy.

This plastic upgrade kit equips the MkVI Tactical Squad Legionnaires with powerful special weapons, suitable for use by a Legion Tactical Support Squad. The kit includes 10 flamethrowers, 10 plasma rifles, 10 flares, 10 rotary cannons, 10 volkite magazines, and 10 volkite arquebuses, allowing you to promote up to three MkVI Tactical Squad kits into six 10-figure Tactical Support Squads, or 12 five-figure units. The kit includes five slightly different models of each special weapon type, so your Legionnaires remain distinct when massed on the battlefield.

This upgrade kit includes 100 plastic components and is designed to assemble with the MkVI Tactical Squad kit, sold separately. These components are supplied unpainted and require assembly - we recommend the use of Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Paints.

You will need a copy of the Warhammer: The Horus Heresy - The Dark Ages rulebook and the Liber Astartes - Loyalist Legiones Astartes Army Book or the Liber Hereticus: Renegade Legiones Astartes Army Book to take full advantage of these upgrades.
