Humans have disappeared from the planet, leaving behind only a few buildings. Nature has reclaimed the ruins of this forgotten civilization, dense forests have covered cities, and sand and sea have swallowed up seaside hotels and harbors.
Animals have evolved to imitate, in their own way and no doubt unwittingly, ancient human societies.
Cats, dogs, rats and others are at the dawn of a Middle Ages imbued with mimicry and the technologies of the past. It's not surprising to see a rat tunnelling with a cobbled-together headlamp, a magician cat making the rain fall or a dog playing the big man in an armour made of car tires and doors. There's a universal law that everyone respects, always and all the time: "a talking animal doesn't eat a talking animal."
Donjons & Chatons combines poetry, storytelling, a change of scenery and a taste for unbridled gameplay, rich in twists and surprises.
