There is not much more heroic and moving than the Polish cavalry rushing into a desperate charge against the German armoured power; throwing at the Krupp steel... But no matter how brave they were, the Polish rider was not stupid. After the 1936 reforms, the Polish cavalry was reorganized into twenty-six regiments of four squadrons of 120 men each. Unfortunately for the romantics among us, the spear had been taken out of service and was mostly used for ceremonial purposes.
