Cherry Blossoms at Night looks at the raid on Yontan airfield on May 25, 1945. This new game models one of the boldest “special attacks” of WW2 carried out by Japanese airborne commandos against the Yontan airbase at Okinawa that had been recently captured by US forces. The raiders planned to crash land at the airfield, destroy all the US aircraft they could find there, and go down fighting. There was no thought given to extract/recover the Japanese troops....
