"If you're forty and you don't have your pro pass to Cannes, you've missed your life," said a friend who is as fond of good words as he is of slight exaggerations. It is true, however, that enthusiasts like to feel part of the scene, through the creation of associations, media or Instagram accounts, prototypes, publishing houses, with a whole range of positions, from enlightened and active amateur to professional.

At the recent Vichy Festival, the entire basement was dedicated to the professional space; the lack of meeting time due to the health crisis having made this convention "the place to be", there were publishers and games that were not available in the all-public space. This game fair, which had been rather local until then, seemed to be swallowed up by the professionals, who could also take advantage of free tables, whereas the space on the floor quickly ran out. Even if the surface taken could raise an eyebrow (questioning? disapproving?), the space was welcome to meet the newcomers of the publishers and to discuss the games in approach in order to plan the next issues. Perhaps it is also an asset to perpetuate this young event? Without knowing what to think for the moment, we will continue to observe and question the evolutions of the gaming world, hoping that it will always (and more and more) try not to be exclusive.  Unt' Margaria & Vincent Bonnard
