Expand your kingdom in the flourishing empire of Frederick II.

Frederick II, Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire and King of Germany and Italy, was a man of culture, energy and extraordinary ability. His contemporaries called him stupor mundi (“the wonder of the world”), and many historians consider him Europe's first modern ruler.

The kingdom he established in Sicily and southern Italy operated with an efficient bureaucracy comparable to that of modern centralized kingdoms.

As a vassal of Frederick II in Stupor Mundi, you'll gather allies from all over the Mediterranean basin, build structures in your castle and promote specialists to improve your kingdom.

You can increase your chances by upgrading your castles: towers will house additional allies, walls will store more resources, and dungeons will help you manage action cards. Thanks to an ingenious card selection mechanism, you'll need to choose your actions carefully, some of which trigger edicts that will affect Frederick's palace and determine the rewards players can receive from their allies.

Will you remain loyal to the Emperor, or support independent allies? Keep a close eye on your opponents' actions and form alliances at the right moment - or go your own way when the situation becomes too tense...
