Nobody really knows what triggered the one-day war between the superpowers.

It only took one day to end the Before World.

With governments collapsing, leaderless survivor groups are rare and mutant tribes are invading the wastelands. The world desperately needs a hero to rally the people together and pull them out of the rubble!

At the start of the game, each player chooses a hero responsible for a small group of survivors and a few supplies.

Each turn, players must secretly plan where they will send their workers to accomplish various tasks and exert their influence, whether it's completing missions in the ruins of Moscow, collecting fuel, food and spare parts, rescuing survivors, acquiring new skills or building their base.

Resurgence offers different routes to victory, and the in-game events and end-game directive cards offer replayability and variability from game to game. At the end of the game, the hero whose faction is victorious becomes the new leader and reunites all the groups of survivors in the sanctuary on Hope Island.
