Any resemblance to the first film in the Alien saga, The 8th Passenger, is by no means coincidental. And yes, it's the former Nostromo, the game that was plagiarized: see “affaire Nostromo” on the web.
One player takes on the role of the Xenodog and must eliminate the crew. The other players must try to survive, leave the BASTET and destroy it. One of the crew members is a treacherous synthetic “Sculpin” programmed to bring the Xenodog back to earth. Each character also has a secret objective. The game is played in 3 rounds of approximately 15 minutes.
Each round, players have 10 seconds to hide in the ship and organize themselves to gather all the elements needed to leave the ship and blow up the USCAT BASTET. The ship is made up of several main rooms. The Xenodog then has 2 attempts to flush out and kill crew cats.
Players can use decoy markers to cover their tracks, and use the secondary effects of certain cards to dodge the monster. Each turn spent without being attacked by the monster allows players to draw cards in the hope of gathering precious equipment. Bernard, a hamster in its ball wanders freely around the ship and can attract the Xenodog (ball effect) and thus unwittingly help the crew.
