In 800 B.C., an explosion of creativity and violence took place in the Aegean basin, defining ancient Greece. This combination of science, mythology, development and warfare was led by powerful city-states such as Athens, Sparta, Corinth, Troy, Byzantium, Corcyra and Thebes. These states competed for control over their rivals and dominated the lesser states around them. Over time, some of them became so famous that they are still remembered today.

In Hellenica: Story of Greece, your goal is to become the pre-eminent symbol of Greece for posterity by achieving a combination of secret and public objectives. Will you be remembered as a warmonger or a peaceful philosopher? High priest or apostate? Will you develop a devotion to the gods or focus on the advancement of your people?
