The refinery ship Molten Valkyrie has gone dark. Intending to deny the impending policy claim, Flaysafe Insurance has dispatched a crew to board the ship and retrieve the Molten Valkyrie's black box, promising salvage rights as a reward.

Upon arrival, the now-derelict ship is revealed to be a frozen tomb, filled with ice and frigid corpses. As the ship systems reactivate and temperature begins to rise, a dormant parasite wakes within its frozen hosts, intent on feeding on and proliferating within the newly arrived bodies.
