In the year 1366, in the midst of medieval obscurantism, the province of Saint-Voile is ravaged by a strange pestilence transforming its population into degenerate, deviant and bestial creatures.

Although the province, poor and far too distant from the capital, is of no interest to the Crown, the population's flight from a spreading epidemic, rumours of a new religion developing in the region, the Church's anathema on the fortified city run by the sulphurous Countess and the absence of communications with the latter force the King to mandate a college of plague doctors.
The aim of this despised brigade: to eradicate the source of this evil or die trying.

Macadabre is a dark and horrific medieval-fantasy role-playing game for consenting adults who enjoy outrageousness and blood. It is an old-school, extreme experience with unfair and cruel rules where 1 to 12 Doctors, not afraid to violate their gamer's habits, explore a province and confront beasts risking their souls and lives.
