In feudal Japan, a Naishi was a lady-in-waiting who served at the imperial court. She occupied an important role and was responsible for various tasks, in particular assisting with ceremonies and rituals. Naishi were often chosen by the emperor from among noble families and had significant influence in circles of power.
So make the most of your opportunities and send your emissaries to intrigue at the imperial court, to place your cards as effectively as possible and control Japan's most prestigious territory.
You have a Hand and a Line, each consisting of 5 cards. This set represents your territory. You cannot freely rearrange your cards, either in your Hand or in your Line.
Developing your territory allows you to replace the cards in your deck, respecting their position in the River. You can also send your Emissaries to the Imperial Court, allowing you to perform additional actions.
At the end of the game, the cards in your Hand will be revealed and placed under the cards in your Line, respecting their positions.
Your territory will thus consist of a grid of 2×5 cards.
You will then add up the points contributed by each card, and the player with the highest total will win!
