Machina Arcana is a horrific board game in a steampunk universe for 1 to 4 players playing as Explorers.It's the third edition of the game.

The Explorers are a group of people sane enough to resist the wave of darkness, but still crazy enough to want to face it. They are on a perilous expedition into the depths of an ancient underground complex of unknown origin.

Players take on the role of explorers investigating an ancient underground complex of unknown origin. Explorers will collect materials, interact with and use their environment, fight monsters, and immerse themselves in the rich narrative elements.

The entire story is divided into different scenarios that represent a self-contained game. Each scenario contains chapters, each with its own narrative and specificities. The goal of the game is to progress through the story and face the end of the game as the finale of each scenario.

The main goal of Machina Arcana is to provide players with a horror game that can never be played the same way, mechanics that allow for different strategies and approaches, and a rich setting that combines everything smoothly. The game is scalable by default: there is no need for special conditions based on the number of players. The equipment evolves as the story progresses. But be careful! If you are too slow, the horror may very well win and devour you whole.
