This expansion for B-29 Superfortress covers missions during the Korean War from November 1950 to April 1951.
The period chosen for Hell over Korea corresponds to the most dynamic period of the war for the B-29s. Prior to November 1950, the bombers encountered very little opposition, and the few strategic North Korean targets were quickly eliminated. In November, however, China's entry into the war changed the situation. The B-29s had to contend with MiG-15s. These jets, designed to eliminate the B-29s, outclassed the aging Superfortresses despite fighter escorts. Losses soon confine the B-29s to night attacks, mainly in an interdiction role.
