The king is dead! Influence the five kingdoms and claim your place on the throne!

In the darkness of night, the court whispers the news: "The king is dead". Kneeling at the bedside, the heirs salute the deceased sovereign one last time. Unfortunately, the king had never bothered to name his successor. "Let virtue appoint the next king", he simply said. Now is the time to prove that you are the only heir worthy of the crown of the Kingdom of the Five Fiefdoms. As soon as dawn breaks, you'll move your pawns forward to win the support of neighboring clans and seize power. But you're not alone in your quest for the throne.

The King's last wish was simple: "The Throne shall go to the one who demonstrates the greatest Virtue". Now is the time to prove that you are the most worthy heir to the crown of the Five Fiefdoms.

But others are determined to prove their worth and become the next ruler. The game unfolds over several rounds, in which you must rally clans, perform feats and use your agents to accumulate victory points. Your objective is clear: reign over the five Fiefs to claim the throne and victory!

With its open draft selection system and asymmetrical clan powers, Inheritors is a strategic hand-management game that's rich in replayability. If you like games with a gradual build-up of power, you're in for a treat. The tension at the end of the game should make you break out in a cold sweat.

    Ne vous fiez pas à la fausse impression que peut donner la couverture de ce jeu.

    Il ne s'agit pas d'un jeu avec des effets de cartes compliqués. Il ne s'agit pas d'un jeu de pli.

    Je dirais un "draft" ouvert avec une subtilité : le marché

    Le jeu est très accessible à son tour on choisit une action parmi 5.

    Selon moi, il mérite d'être découvert :

    1. Le calcul des points de victoire est simple et très astucieux. 

    Une partie du score est visible sur la table et calculable facilement. Le reste peut être évalué.

    Le décompte final est en 5 parties très simples. Cela contribue à l'accessibilité du jeu.

    2. La courbe d'apprentissage est intéressante et on a envie d'y revenir

    Il s'agit d'une course. Il faudra surveiller les conditions de fins de parties.

    Le jeu se joue en relativement peu de points de victoire. Ce qui a le mérite de le rendre tendu, rapide et lisible.

    D'autre part, on pourra débloquer un et un seul clan par partie avec 1 à 2 pouvoirs uniques.

    Enfin il y a des cartes spéciales (les agents) en nombres et types limités : 18 cartes réparties en 3 types. Il ne s'agit pas de cartes aux effets situationnels. Au contraire, le timing d'utilisation définit le style de jeu.

    3. Pas de rivières de cartes, mais un concept de marché très sympa. 

    Vous défaussez une carte pour en prendre une ou plusieurs autres, ou 3 cartes pour prendre une quête.

    Mais les cartes défaussées sont à la disposition de vos adversaires.
