Rosewood Abbey is designed for 3 to 6 players. It works equally well for one-shot sessions, but really shines for short campaigns, thanks to its unique “Rumor Mill” story-building mechanic.

The Fratres Herodoti are an informal brotherhood of scholars sworn to knowledge and truth. The mysteries these brothers, the player-characters, investigate are often mundane and unrelated.

Nevertheless, at the Abbazia di Palissandro, Rosewood Abbey, the other monks and their flock tend to interpret situations as either the work of God, or of evil spirits. As rumors spread disproportionately, the papacy finds itself obliged to decide on the veracity of alleged miracles or heresies.
