A science-fantasy roleplaying game by Emiel Boven & Ava Islam

Long ago the people of Orn were brought here by a starfaring civilization of god-like creatures, whose names are now long forgot‐ ten. They are known simply as the Elders. Most of the knowledge of the Elders was lost when their ships fell from the heavens and buried themselves in the surface of Orn in an age long past.
The Electrum Archive is a science-fantasy TTRPG zine series inspired by the worlds of The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, Dark Sun and Ultraviolet Grasslands(link opens in new tab/window). It uses simple core rules inspired by other OSR games like Cairn(link opens in new tab/window), Mausritter(link opens in new tab/window) and Whitehack to quickly get you started playing.

About the Book

This zine is a collection of some basic rules and procedures, along with an introduction to the setting of Orn, a place long ago abandoned by an alien race now known as the Elders. The magical ink left behind in the shipwrecks of these ancient aliens is now used as currency and inhaled by warlocks as fuel for their spell casting. Adventurers called inkseekers venture out into the decaying world beyond the cities ruled over by scheming Merchant Houses to look for Elder artefacts and ink.
Though this overview is an incomplete overview, it's enough to get you started adventuring in the world of Orn. There are no premade adventures in this zine. The goal for this issue is to establish the tone and vibe of Orn, while providing you and your group some funky building blocks with which to build your own adventures. Later zines will include more table-ready material, and dive more indepth into locations briefly described in this first issue.
