Protect your daughters before the Troll steals them from you!

In the northern city of Bergen, there lived a duke with seven beautiful daughters. One day, a masked man appeared before the duke with a warning: that night, at sunset, the Troll - the giant of the forest - would storm Bergen and take away the duke's daughters and wealth.

As the Duke, you must hide your daughters and wealth in various places in Bergen to keep them from the Troll. To protect yourself, you've enlisted the help of the mysterious Night Guard and allied yourself with Mistletoe, whose mystical powers can drive away the Troll.

Night Clan is a fast-paced area control game with a hint of deception. Each player receives a deck of 13 identical cards. Players take turns placing their cards, two at a time, on the game slots. Once all the cards have been played, the cards placed on each slot are resolved and the remaining cards are used to determine which player has won.
  •     Girls are played face up and earn their owner 1 victory point each if they are not eliminated.
  •     Riches are played face down and give their owner 2 victory points each if they are not eliminated.
  •     Trolls are played face down and eliminate all cards in their slot if they are not countered by a Mistletoe. If they are successfully countered, they give their owner -2 victory points.
  •     Mistletoes are played face down and eliminate the trolls in their location. They give 1 victory point to their owner if they succeed in countering a Troll.
  •     Nightwatchers are played face up and move cards between slots.

    Un apéro game roublard et magnifiquement illustré, parfait pour les parties rapides et les joueurs qui n'aiment pas les règles à rallonge.

    Le principe est simple : marquer le maximum de points en cachant des richesses face cachée dans des lieux pouvant contenir un nombre de cartes limité, sachant que certaines cartes spécifiques peuvent annuler les scores d'un lieu ou déplacer des cartes d'un lieu à l'autre.

    Il s'agit donc d'élaborer une stratégie induisant les autres joueurs en erreur, tout en s'efforçant de deviner les leurs et de les contrer.

    Simple, concis, efficace, si on aime les jeux de l'esprit et le bluff en silence (ou pas, c'est vous qui voyez).

    Dommage que le nombre d'illustrations soit si limité, les cartes sont splendides (pour peu qu'on aime ce style graphique).

    Comparé à la précédente édition de Gamephilia, la boîte est de meilleure facture, les cartes lisses plutôt que texturées, le livret mieux illustré, les cartes lieux deux fois plus grandes. Autant dire que si la version Gamephilia était honorable (pour la moitié du prix de la version Japanim Games), cette dernière reste supérieure en tous points (hormis la qualité des cartes qui se vaut, dans deux genres différents).
