King Of Tokyo: Origins includes four new monsters, an assortment of new power cards mixed with old ones, energy cubes and green dice with yellow characters.
Gameplay remains the same as in the original game: to win, you must be the first to score 20 points or be the only creature still standing.
Each turn, you roll six dice, which display the following six symbols: 1, 2 or 3 points, energy, heal and attack. During three successive throws, choose to keep or discard each die in order to gain points, gain energy, restore hit points or attack other players.
When you attack, if you're outside Tokyo, you hit whoever's in Tokyo; if you're in Tokyo, you hit all the other players!
If a player's health drops to 0, he's out of the game. (You can't heal damage when you're in Tokyo, and the only way to leave the city is to get attacked by someone... which may mean you're safe from death).
When you gain energy, you store it in cubes, which you can use to buy power cards, which have a permanent or temporary effect.
