Generate precious silver, develop a medieval city and build a magnificent Gothic cathedral.

In Kutná Hora: The City of Silver join other ambitious guild leaders in mining and developing the famous silver city during its period of rapid economic growth and expansion in the 14th century - from the first discovery of silver near the Cistercian monastery to the construction of Kutná Hora, which quickly became one of the most important cities in Central Europe.

Each turn, players choose actions from a hand of double-sided cards to implement strategic plans such as mining, buying building land, obtaining permits, constructing buildings for their affiliated guilds, making a profit from their production and, of course, building St. Barbara's Cathedral.

The asymmetrical nature of the guilds available to each player makes for highly interactive rounds in which every decision has an interesting impact on the economy and on the other players as they develop their mines and build infrastructure on a shared board.

Mine and smelt for a fortune in cash to develop this magnificent historic city, but be sure to balance your personal goals with the need to foster the city's growth. It's all connected, and sometimes the path to personal victory depends on the prosperity of the many.

    C’est un grand oui pour KUTNÀ HORA, pour son esthétisme, sa personnalité, sa concrétisation thématique, sa pureté mécanique, son ingéniosité globale, son côté abstrait, ses interactions indirectes fortes, son opportunisme tactique, et sa richesse stratégique. Sans en avoir l’air, le jeu est très expert, mais il sait nous prendre par la main et nous montrer l’étendue de son talent avec délicatesse. Certes, la sixième manche rend l’expérience un peu longue, mais quand un jeu est aussi brillant, on lui pardonne facilement ce surplus de plaisir.
