The town of Scoville was founded in Wilbur's honor to welcome those who believe that the hottest chiles are the best.

Every year around the same time, the town hosts the Scoville Chili Festival.

The festival includes auctions for the local high school (Go Flames!), a large farmers' market, incredible prizes for growers who plant the most fiery chiles, and the famous Scoville Chili Cookoff, where competitors try to work their way to victory with the most extravagant concoctions.

The festival lasts just one day, and the producer who generates the most heat takes home this year's trophy.

Are you ready to feel the burn?

This edition includes color-blind plastic peppers, new artwork and a new single-player mode!

This edition also includes The Labs expansion.

Each game of Scoville consists of a variable number of rounds. Each round consists of these five phases:

  • Auction: Players bid for turn order and claim Auction cards.
  • Planting: Players plant peppers and can earn reward plaques.
  • Harvesting: Players move their farmers up to 3 steps, growing peppers as they go.
  • Execution: Players can make a Markert card, execute a recipe and sell a color of bell pepper.
  • Time check: Check whether the morning has progressed to the afternoon... or the afternoon to the end of the game.

At the end of the game, each player totals his or her points. The player with the most points wins the game!
