Dystopian wars - Markov's Prometheus
"The decadent and corrupt so-called ‘Enlightenment’ of this world would have you believe that Helsinki Markov is a traitor. Nothing could be further from the truth. He is a great man who risked everything to bring us the wonders of the engineering age. The short-sightedness of those who call themselves ‘guardians’ was unbearable for him. He knew that the man in the street would be improved by the machines that the Pact of Enlightenment wanted to keep for itself. For them, it was not a world of equality, but of a singular authority conceived by their cold and insensitive minds. Without Markov's heroism, a steel cage could have been built around the world, fashioned by these greedy intellectuals. Today, everyone can access the marvels that power the homes of working people; tireless machines can take over the fields and factories to keep the Commonwealth the beacon of greatness it is known to be around the world. We humbly thank Helsinki Markov and the Department of Technology for their efforts to empower the people of the Commonwealth."
