The initiatory quest in which the adventurers will take part is an enjoyable journey in which the eventual battles are not the climax. Empathy, negotiation and understanding are the keys to unraveling the intrigues.

Draconis uses a revised version of the rules of the most famous of role-playing games, the so-called 5E system. For the game leader, the system of dramatic keys invites you to examine the antagonists' motivations in order to deduce the actions likely to make them react, and thus determine the logical levers of the plots.

Draconis: L'Appel de l'Aventure contains 5 introductory adventures, for ages 11 and up, and is self-contained: all the necessary rules are included, as well as 6 ready-to-play characters and plenty of advice on how to learn role-playing gently.

For experts, however, the rules are compatible with the 5th edition and bring new options: new classes, new archetypes and combat variants for a unique, peaceful gameplay!

When you have to perform an action with an uncertain outcome, you roll a D20 and add the value of your appropriate characteristic/skill. If the total exceeds the degree of difficulty, your action is a success!

The 5e system also includes an advantage/disadvantage mechanic allowing you to roll 2D20 and keep the better one when the situation is favorable (or conversely keep the worse one when the situation is unfavorable).
