The world of Cyberpunk Red is set in 2045, during the rebuilding of Night City.

Gigantic megabuildings light up the sky above the rebuilding Corpo Square, while cybernetic gangs battle it out in the shadows, each carving out a bloody piece of land for themselves. In Cyberpunk Red: Combat Zone, you lead a gang in pitched battles or campaigns. Equip your gang, hire your mercenaries and build your street cred to dominate the infernal wastes of the Combat Zone and become the new master of the streets.

Actions come in three colors, corresponding to three types of dice (d6, d8 or d12). The color of the action chosen by the character determines the type of dice he rolls.

The game moves quickly from one player to the next. When a character is wounded, his actions worsen - but he may also have a chance to react to the attack by moving away or counter-attacking. The character controlling the battle is the one currently acting with one of his characters.

You lose control of the battle when your active character has no more actions. Characters can try to activate other friendly characters. This creates a fast-paced back-and-forth game, where control of the game passes from one to the other, without bothering with phases, upkeep and accounting.
