The frogs rest on the water lilies.
In Fröschis, you want to line up your cards in numerical order, eventually getting rid of your entire row of cards.
The game consists of cards numbered 1 through 8, six of each, plus four frogs and eight discards. To begin the game, each player is dealt a row of eight cards face down. On your turn, take the top card from the deck or discard pile, then place the card in the appropriate place in your row - a 1 goes in the first place, a 2 in the second, etc.
Reveal this card face down, and if you can place it in your row - again, replacing only one face down card - do so. If you reveal a frog, it is a wild card that can represent any number. If, for example, you place a frog in the 4 box, reveal a 6, place the 6 and reveal a 4, you can place the 4 and then move the frog to another face down box.
If you reveal garbage or a number you already have face up, discard it to end your turn. If you have eight face-up cards in a row, each other player takes a final turn, then you start a new turn, and all players who have completed their row receive only seven cards instead of eight. You now only need to get seven cards in a row to win the round, but all 8 are considered waste for you, which can make it harder for you to win. Keep playing until someone gets to a row of one card, completing it with a 1 or a frog.
That player wins when they do, and multiple players can win if they complete their one-card row in the same turn.
