Leaves are picked up by the shovelful
Arbolito is played over several rounds, with each player taking a turn to attach a leaf card to the tree. These “leaf” cards feature one to three color zones. To be placed, you need to match the chosen corridor with the colors of the cards already present.
The game ends as soon as a player has cleared all his cards. But be warned: incorrect placement can cause cards to fall. If this happens, you'll have to add these cards to your deck, slowing down your progress!
The story of a cat and a bird
When you lay down a “leaf” card, each connection triggers “effects” depending on the animals represented on the cards. A pair of cats allows you to play, while a pair of birds forces an opponent to draw an additional card. And by combining a cat and a bird, you can lay down a card on your next turn, regardless of color.
These effects add a strategic dimension that will make all the difference between players over the course of games.
