It's the age of discovery!

The British Empire needs to find new naval trade routes to Asia, so it launches numerous expeditions to the Arctic in search of the Northwest Passage.

As the expedition progresses, new cards and routes are revealed and added to the modular board.

Each player is responsible for his or her own ship, and crews include three officers with individual abilities:

  •         The carpenter, a craftsman who makes improvements and builds structures
  •         The scientist, a scholar in charge of inventions and research.
  •         The Captain, an officer who directs and organizes.

You can also recruit Inuit, exceptional guides who are experts in finding fuel, improving sledges and leading essential hunting groups.

In Through Ice and Snow, each voyage brings its own unique challenges and events for your crews to face: these Arctic voyages were fraught with tragedy, as food was extremely hard to come by, overworked crews were prone to mutiny and weather conditions were unforgiving.
Succeed and become immortal. Fail and disappear into the ice....forever.
Through Ice and Snow - Myths & Legends is an expansion pack for Through Ice & Snow. This expansion requires the core game to be played, and includes 3 new game modules:
  •         Walking on ice: Relive the anguish of Arctic expeditions who abandoned their ships to try to survive on foot.
  •         Inuit myths: Discover Inuit mythology and feel the power of its legends.
  •         Legendary expeditions: Experience the great explorers, their ships and historical events.
In addition to these modules, the expansion includes 2 new single-player scenarios: The Mysterious Epidemic and Amundsen's Voyage.
