At the heart of Aztec legends, Xolotl is a god of transformation and passage. Tasked with a celestial role as a psychopomp, he embraces the sacred mission of guiding souls through the perilous journey to Mictlan, the dark Aztec underworld.
This journey is a labyrinth of dangers that spans nine levels. Each stage of the path tests the souls with surreal obstacles. Only the bravest reach their final destination to be reborn, their warrior spirits rising into the sky in the form of splendid birds, free and majestic.
